Bereave FAQs: What We Do, Who We Help, and How We Support

Keagan Mcguire

Death isn’t easy, and it affects us deeply—both at work and at home. Proper support in the workplace goes a long way in someones grief journey and Bereave is here to help give that support to everyone through this challenging time. Wondering how Bereave works and who we support? We’ve got you covered!

Who uses Bereave?

Bereave supports everyone in the workplace—anyone can use it for support during tough times, managers use it to prepare and access resources for those in need, and HR uses it to automate steps, track progress and stay connected every step of the way.

An employee loses a close loved one, how does Bereave help?

Bereave brings everyone together: the employee (and their family) receives grief support and task guidance, managers are trained to handle difficult news with care and follow checklists for procedures, while HR tracks progress, participation, and key dates, keeping business moving and everyone supported throughout.

I’m not in HR, but I still want to make a change at work. What can I do?

  1. You’re a hero for stepping up!
  2. You have two options: use the link here to have us share Bereave with your HR team (anonymously, if you’d like), or fill out our Bereavement Enhancement Request form here to share with HR yourself. Either way, you’re helping to start create a more supportive workplace for everyone!

How does onboarding work?

Onboarding varies by company but typically includes two Zoom calls with HR, a quick upload of your employee list, and onboarding emails sent to everyone. Employees can then explore and personalize their experience, while managers and HR receive special access to their own content and trainings.

Is this a good investment for my company?

Investing in Bereave means doing right by your people. Showing real care in tough times goes a long way, and Bereave gives you the tools to make that happen. With 51% of employees leaving after a close loss, Bereave builds loyalty, boosts morale, and makes sure your team feels valued.

How much does it cost?

Bereave offers tiered pricing based on your company's size, starting at $1,000 annually for up to 100 employees. For detailed information and to find the best fit for your organization, please visit our pricing page.
