Once you have a working list of all of the membership and subscription accounts your loved one left open, you will have to determine what will need to happen with each one. With some expectations, like utility accounts that are needed to maintain the house in good working order, the vast majority can be closed immediately.

If you have access to your loved one’s email and/or their passwords for the accounts, you will probably be able to cancel them directly. If not, however, you will have to contact each organization or company to request that they close the account.
